Bejmat, the art of customization
The intense black bejmat is part of the zelliges family but is differentiated by the fact that it is not recut. The name bejmat is a nod to Moroccan cakes in the shape of small bricks with anise and orange blossom. Its format is indeed rectangular, most often sold in dimensions 5x15 cm. Relatively resistant, it is often present in bathrooms, kitchen backsplashes or can be used as formwork for islands, bars, or swimming pool aprons. This rectangular format also allows for beautiful variations in poses and imagination: in checkerboards, in stairs, diagonally, in broken sticks, contrasting with white zelliges.
The unique and exceptional intense black bejmat!
The intense black rectangular bejmat is absolutely unique as it asserts a strong character with its mother-of-pearl, which takes on gray or ochre tones depending on the light. Don't be fooled by its apparent darkness because it doesn't darken spaces, it enhances them. While it is a welcome addition to contemporary, graphic and refined spaces, it also enhances bathrooms by giving them an exceptional, immediate class that transforms your old bathroom. This is the great asset of the bejmat: it doesn't just decorate, it radically changes the atmosphere. So intense black may seem like a bold move. In reality, it is a truly sophisticated and irresistible element!
